Sanjiaolongwan is a 1-km-wide early Pleistocene maar of the Longgang volcanic field. Sintesi geologica

The Longgang volcanic field covers 1,700 km2 in the Jilin Province of NE China. Basaltic and trachybasaltic lava flows cover a large area containing more than 150 Quaternary cinder cones and eight tuff rings. There is only one known cinder cone of Holocene age, Jinlongdingzi (Gold Dragon Peak); the eruption formed the large scoria cone and deposited tephra over a broad area to the E which was radiocarbon dated at about 1,600-1,700 years ago.

Longgang is a volcanic field in Jilin Province, China. It is also known as Chingyu, Longwan Group or Lung-wan Group. This volcanic field contains over 164 individual centres in the form of crater lakes, maars and volcanic cones and covers a surface area of 1,700 square kilometres (660 sq mi). The field is forested and mostly undisturbed by human activities.
